Calbourne Water Mill and Rural Museum.
This working mill dating back to the early 16th century is still in perfect order
today.With a museum display of tools and equipment for rural crafts, also early
farm equipment and many other interesting artefacts dating back many years.

Carisbrooke Castle and Museum. (to be arranged by school)
A splendid Norman Castle which once was the Prison of King Charles I. Has
had later additions both Medieval and Elizabethan.The Governors apartment
house now houses the museum of History. Several times a day the resident
Carisbrooke Donkeys work the Wellhouse to draw water. Lunch. Open all year

Colemans Farm.
This family run farm offers school groups "hands on" experience to farm life.
They encourage groups to take part in daily activities which include milking,
egg collecting, lamb feeding and small animal handling.The farm offers great
balance of fun and farm.

Dinosaur Isle.
At the museum there is a wide variety of fossils. A Guide will take you
around the museum before accompanying you on a field study trip to one
of the prime fossil locations on the island. Giving much hands on

Fort Victoria Country Park.
Remains of a fort in 20 hectares surrounding coastal woodlands,There are
four sites to visit here as overleaf making this venue a complete day without
too much travelling.

Fort Victoria Aquarium.
This small but fascinating aquarium displays many fish and invertebrates from
the surrounding area of the island.There is a separate section on the coral
reef and a bridge crossing to the Conger Tank.

There is a variety of different astronomy presentations showing phases on
the Moon and Eclipses and planets of the solar system. Open March to

Fort Victoria Underwater Centre
This new hands on centre offers children the opportunity to learn how
archaeologists work underwater, the tools they use and what they discover.
Informs the children how the Isle of Wight was once connected to the
mainland.

Glory Art Glass
This family run Glass studio offers an insight into glassmaking, and provides
very interesting demonstrations and commentary for all. A glass making guide
is provided.

Island Brass Rubbing Centre.
A poplar 12th century church with a Brass Plate set into ground dating back
to 13th Century. In the adjacent building children are able to do there own
Brass Rubbing from a varied collection of brasses.

Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
Victorian and Edwardian period of transport, with A.V. Presentation outlying
the historic background of the Islands Railways. Static displays of steam
trains.A museum gallery, small artefacts, also offered is a rare chance to
sample travel in a real vintage steam train.

Isle of Wight Brading Experience
This museum is situated in the island’s oldest house part dating back to
1066ad. Here you can rub shoulders with the famous and infamous from past
to present times, there is also a chamber of horrors section.The world of
nature is the second part of the museum.
